GTAT’s most important assets are its expert talent and its locally-rooted partner businesses — deployed through a dual-axis strategy that puts down roots locally while connecting to the world.

A Dual-Axis Strategy

GTAT’s most important assets are its expert talent and its locally-rooted partner businesses. The Association runs on two parallel strategies:
1. A Promotion Center Alliance, rooted locally and connected globally — using green economy principles as its core, the Alliance puts down roots in specific places while connecting them to international standards and conversations.
2. Green business opportunity — helping government bodies shape sustainable-tourism policy and education, supporting remote regions and industries, and expanding both domestic and inbound tourism opportunity through public outreach and education.

Beyond its information/business, cultural-tourism systems, and media-promotion teams (including the “Haoshicheng” travel platform), GTAT currently coordinates 16 thematic, locally-rooted Promotion Centers across Taiwan — a number that continues to grow.

From Policy to Practice

GTAT’s approach moves in four steps: look outward at global pressures and trends; grasp world issues and developments — including climate change, the UN’s 17 SDGs, ESG accountability and transparency, GRI/ISO international standards, and third-party GSTC verification; implement through policy, education, and industry — including cross-border collaboration such as EU climate-adaptation cooperation programs, and place-based revitalization projects across the Tamsui-Kavalan Trail, Dadaocheng, Qigu Creek South, Pingtung, Yilan, Jingtong, Jiufen, Shiding, Tongluo, Daxi, Nuannuan, and Pinglin; and move toward shared global citizenship, by raising public, industry, and government capability from the ground up.
